One of the great things about Hawaii is that there is such a mix of people. Because its a military location, we have so many families that come for a few years and then move. You get pretty good at throwing goodbye parties. And then of course you have people that are long-term residents. You probably haven't known them your whole life but they've living in Hawaii for awhile. The last type of families are made up of people that you knew from childhood, maybe they were classmates, friend, or you went to church together. This family was just like that, Kailua natives, that I hadn't seen in a long time. So it was SO much fun to catch up, see their family, and capture pictures of them in their hometown of Kailua.
